It is a driving synth-pop song with a cutting-edge electronic sound “Self Control” features Kine-san’s sampled voice in the repeated phrase, “Self control.” Komuro-san sampled several people’s voices in the studio and decided to use Kine-san’s. The intro riff is so dramatic and always makes the audience emotional at live concerts.

In the music video, even though the song was released in 1987, the children are holding iPad-like devices. It is like an electric prophet foreseeing the future, as the iPad was released more than 20 years later in 2010.
