    TMNETWORK weekly radio program

#10, 6.3.2026 Hosted by Takashi Utsunomiya
For this episode, Utsu-san took the lead and introduced his favorite song.

    Featured Tracks:

    M1:

    • Artist: Spandau Ballet
    • Title: Gold
    • Released: 1984

    M2:

    • Artist: Spandau Ballet
    • Title: True
    • Released: 1983

On this episode, Utsu-san mentioned that he is a big fan of Tony Hadley’s voice, the lead vocalist of Spandau Ballet. Tony once mentioned that it always makes him happy to see young people still singing their hit song “Gold” at bars, which has also kept him busy with numerous show invitations. While Spandau Ballet reunited with their original members back in 2009, they are currently considering another reunion.

Listening to their tracks brought back memories for TMNETWORK, who then shared some nostalgic stories about their own recording sessions in 1983, right before their major debut with Epic Sony Records.

#09, 5.27.2026 Hosted by Naoto Kine
For this episode, Kine-san took the lead and introduced his favorite song.

    Featured Tracks:

    M1:

    • Artist: Takuro Yoshida
    • Title: Doushite Konnani Kanashiin Darou
    • Released: 1970

Kine-san shared that he truly loves Takuro Yoshida. During the program, he introduced the song “Doshite Konnani Kanashiin Darou.” Kine-san admired Takuro-san’s non-vibrato vocals, and Komuro-san and Utsu-san agreed with him.

Kine-san also mentioned that May 27th marks the anniversary of the passing of Tekkan Fujii, who wrote articles on TM NeTWORK and numerous other musicians. The usual hosting rotation is Komuro-san, Kine-san, and then Utsu-san. However, the order changed recently, with Utsu-san hosting on May 20th and Kine-san taking over on May 27th. While there was no explanation, it is highly likely that they adjusted the schedule out of respect for Tekkan-san’s anniversary. If so, it truly shows the silent, thoughtful bond between TMNETWORK and Tekkan-san.

    • Artist: Kenji Sawada
    • Title: Katteni Shiyagare
    • Released: 1977

The song is the theme for Kenji Sawada’s drama “Akuma no Youna Aitsu,” based on the “300 Million Yen Robbery.”

It turns out Utsu-san and Kine-san were elementary school classmates. It is a miracle that they have been able to work together with each other as elementary school classmates.

Since Utsu-san is a fan of Kenji Sawada, he paid tribute to him at his 2025 solo live “UTSU BAR Soreyuke Kayou Kyoku” by appearing in the same style as Sawada-san’s song cover photo: a white shirt, jeans, and suspenders.
